Year 7-9 is about ensuring our learning experiences are authentic and deepen curiosity and passion. Learning is active, personalised and engaging. In an agile learning culture, our educators understand that support underpins everything.
We will practice a learner-centered, inclusive approach that supports and challenges each student. Our classrooms intend to incorporate inquiry across learning areas, leading to the creation of meaningful work. We believe that students should engage in work that matters to them, to their teachers, and to the world outside of school.
Thinking is taught as we prioritise the process of learning. In Year 7-9, we will explicitly teach the capabilities for life in preparing our young people for the world beyond St Marcellin.
In Year 9, we will begin to explore future pathways, appreciating that early exposure to future possibilities gives our students choice. We intend to provide opportunities for our students that connect them with the real world, in being problem solvers and critical thinkers.
We will take every opportunity to celebrate the learning journey alongside our families.
