Why Choose Us

Investment in the Early Years

We know that the period from birth to eight years old is one of incredible brain development for children. When children are healthy and learning well in their early years, they are better able to reach their full potential as adults. At St Marcellin Catholic College, we are committed to this investment. We believe that educating in the early years is a sacred responsibility. It’s why our education will always be of the highest quality.

Educators who love what they do

It takes a big heart to help shape young minds.

If there is one thing of which you can be sure, it is that we will always employ educators’ who love what they do! We are passionate about ensuring our educators understand and support our vision and values. In working at St Marcellin Catholic College, we ask all of our staff to demonstrate what it means to live with a Strong Mind and a Gentle Heart.

Beyond the Classroom

From the early years to secondary classrooms, we understand how important it is to journey beyond the classroom. Whether this is through nature play in Kindergarten or making connections with work and study pathways in Middle and Senior school, we are always looking for ways to connect our young people with the world beyond the classroom.

Nurturing of Potential

We believe that all of our students can succeed. We focus on activating the strengths of our students first and foremost. We believe our students need the kind of education that prepares them to think, be creative, and innovate.

We recognise that young people achieve their full potential in the context of relationships that are based on trust and respect.

We feed their curiosity.
We encourage students to practice social skills.
We offer them all the support we can.
We expose them to new and fascinating ideas.
We keep track of their progress.

Our Purpose

Marcellin wanted Marist Schools to be more than communities – he wanted them to be families, where everyone has an honoured place, where relationships are warm and informal, where hospitality is a special feature, and where repair and correction is just, kind and forgiving.
